Current Obsession: Claying My Way to beautiful skin with L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Masks

If there's one thing that I cannot get enough of – it's beauty products. I love taking care of my skin, and I pride on the fact that it hasn't been touched by a dermatologist.

Actually, my skin care habits are pretty basic: in the evening, before I sleep – I wash my face, I follow it up with a toner and that's basically it. When the mood strikes, I extend it up by either putting on a face mask (my personal favorite) as part of my de-stressing routine and then close it all up by applying a emulsion to hydrate.

In the morning, I wash my face and then apply face cream; I have dark eye bags so I apply a serum to the skin around the eye and then I finish it all off with a face lotion and emulsion.

I am not too picky when it comes to brands, but very partial to Korean and Japanese skin care products. Right now, I am using products from Innisfree, Face Shop and Laneige.

Thanks to Lazada, I am including L'Oreal Paris on my go-to skin care list.

I am loving these new L'Oreal Paris Pure Clay Masks and is currently abusing the Anti-Pores variant.

Comprising of four types, the Pure Clay Mask is a potent in-jar mask formulation that addresses different skin problems. Each variant is made with natural pure clay with botanical extracts leading to a more revitalized and nourished skin.

  • L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask Illuminating – made with British Kaolin Cl-y, the face is gently cleansed to achieve soft, radiant skin and with lemon grass extract and exfoliating beads.
  • L'Oreal Clay Mask Anti-Pores – With Moroccan Lava Clay, skin is softened and dead cells are eliminated with obstructs pores and regulates sebum secretion. Infused with rosemary extract.
  • L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask Hydration – with mineral-rich bentonite clay, infused with lemon balm, essential oil and hydrating essence. Removed dirt and hydrates.

You can actually use all three at the same time! Called Multi-masking, the anti-pores variant work best for the T-zone (covering forehead and nose), while illuminating and hydration works wonders for the cheeks.

Verdict:

Because I really wanted for finer-looking pores (an offshoot of watching too many Korean dramas), I immediately tried the anti-pore variant and immediately got hooked!

The first thing you will notice, upon opening the jar is the smell. It smelled really good – it smelled really good and natural, and without any hint of the usual "clay" or chemical smell

The product applies very well to the skin and doesn't feel suffocating at all. It dries really fast: within 10 minutes following application, you will feel it tightening a bit, adhering to your skin and hopefully sucking out all blackheads and impurities along the way. You can easily wash these with water once you're done.

What's noticeable immediately after is the clean feeling, like your face is devoid of any all or dirt ah all. My cheeks felt soft, smooth and supple.

I apply the mask before I sleep, as part of my usual bed time ritual, so it comes as a nice surprise that upon waking up, my skin doesn't feel oily at all.

Suffice to say, I am instantly hooked!

If you want to try these out, head over to Lazada. They are exclusively available for only P399 per jar.
