Petron Lakbay Alalay, the longest-running roadside assistance program celebrates its 30 years of giving every Filipino motorist worthy-free and safe travels. Lakbay Alalay celebrates this milestone by feating its brand partners and media supporters.
On its 30th year, Lakbay Alalay is encouraging its partners, the media and the general public to go beyond the long weekends and instead adapt a culture of Lakbayanihan to its everyday lives.
Long considered a haven for motorists during the course of their long travels during the holidays, a Lakbay Alalay pit stop, usually located in Petron stations scattered along the North Luzon and South Luzon ExpressWay and major thoroughfares in the country, offers free oil check, free medical check up courtesy of HMO partner PhilCare and Red Cross, free massage, free car check contests of Chevrolet and Honda and free goodies and items from Petron’s many brand partners lead by San Miguel Foods Corporation. The endeavor is also supported by the nationwide police force and local government officials.
In her message during the celebration of Petron’s 30th year, Petron top exec Anna Neri highlighted the beginnings of Lakbay Alalay as a simple roadside assistance program during the Holy Week spearheaded by volunteer Petron employees. This simple display of initiative, concern and volunteerism three decades ago has evolved to a massive roadside assistance program through the concerted effort of leading brand partners and the county’s number one oil company.
For the upcoming Holy Week, Lakbay Alalay will be available from March 23 to March 27.
