Biogesic Banig-Bayan bridges hearts across the seas this Christmas

The life of an OFW is not an easy one. In my many travels, I’ve always managed to come across stories from kababayans whom I managed to chat while on the train. They will surreptitiously look at you, sometimes eager to make a connection, to hear stories about the motherland and share stories of personal struggles and triumphs in a foreign land.

Their happy faces, usually seen while posing in front of well-known landmarks; wearing happy faces and wide smiles. But behind all these, what we do not see are the struggles, home sickness and sadness that they face everyday.

OFWs are secretive when it comes to their lives abroad. Their reason is understandable. They naturally display strength because most of the time, they are all their families have. They expect themselves to be the strong-willed ones because they have to in order to provide their family the best life. Their hopes and dreams are for those they left behind. They are, in fact, the prime epitome of a caregiver.

Skype and FB Messenger are one of the most used apps by OFWs because it connects them to their family here in the Philippjnes, as if they  never left. It is their temporary remedy for longing and missing out. But time spent bonding through a small-and at times, fuzzy- screen is not enough. How do you even translate the feeling of being loved and cared for, especially during Christmas?

Biogesic is serving as the ultimate Santa Claus for these OFWs these Christmas by bridging  families across continents and oceans with the simplest yet most touching way possible: he very first Biogesic Banig-bayan program.

Here’s a very touching video of how Bankg-Bayan will connect hearts across seas this Christmas:

Inspired by the balik-bayan box, Biogesic created a special package for families here to carry items they would want to send. It could hold anything from items they miss from home to symbols of life events OFWs would wish they were a part of––truly pieces of home that would make their Christmas whole.

The Banig-bayan carries the message that Ingat and care would still be felt even if they are apart. Biogesic inspired families to make their OFWs feel they are loved, remembered, and missed. And by the deep expressions of gratitude, heart-tugging stories, and tears of joy, the Banig-bayans would make all the difference for their Christmas to be truly merry and immensely felt.
