At first, I had no intention of joining my sister on this trip.
In fact, in one of my posts here — I even mentioned that I am thinking of going on “this trip” yet still unsure. Firstly, I do not have the money to back up my “supposed” visa application. But after doing the research bit for my sister, I started to wonder what it’s like to try my luck and maybe gamble if I should join the trip.
One of my good friends encouraged me to go–after all, it was SEOUL. So, despite the odds — I fixed my papers and decided to apply for a visa. The reasoning was: if it’s meant to be, IT IS MEANT TO BE. The universe knows how much I needed the break and she will bless me with a visa if she thinks it’s meant to be.
So, I did my research (more on this later), passed my requirements and kept my fingers crossed. Well, apparently I am going.
Anyway, I mentioned that I survived this by researching and it’s true. In my next post, I will detail how to get a South Korean visa without the fuss, and without having to pass through a travel agency. First and foremost, keep in mind that it is not impossible to get a visa. Anyone can get one (I am the perfect example for this!)– AS LONG AS you follow the requirements needed by the embassy and that you have clear intentions of going there. Having a small bank account doesn’t mean that you will not get approved, what is important is for you to prove your economic ties here in the Philippines.
In short, that you will be really going to South Korea for tourism purposes and not to be a full-time stalker of all those Hallyu actors and KPOP sensations, with no intention of ever going back.
